. The Shins are described by Wikipedia as an indie rock group with elements of folk and alternative country however their own website just simply tags them as a 'pop band'. The members started a band ten years ago known as Flake before disbanding to become the Shins two years later. They then managed to score the support act to the famous indie band Modest Mouse the following year. The Shins appearing in tv series The Gilmore Girls, the band is set to hit Aussie shores next month. So Says I
