. Grinspoon hit the airwaves when their short single 'Just Ace' was released in 1997. Their band was named after Dr. Lester Grinspoon who was a marijuana supporter in which the band had at times promoted the use of recreational drugs at concerts. Their lead singer, Phil Jamieson also gaining a reputation as a heavy drinker. Unfortunately these days the drinking has finally made an impact which resulted admitting himself into rehab, putting the band's recording time to a hault. The guys are currently trying to finish their final record with major label Vivendi Universal with the first single "Black Tattoo" to be released later on this month. If you want to hear a preview of it go see them at the Come Together Festival held this Queen's Birthday weekend in Luna Park.
